BLASTING - LOOKING FOR MORE PROBLEMS

I wanted to get rid of the rust and whatever it might be hiding. I also did not want to separate the body from the chassis because of all the rocker damage. I needed the chassis (frame) to keep everything together. So I sent both of them off to a local media blaster still connected to get them cleaned up.

When I got it home, there was even more damage visible. I hadn't really noticed much damage to the frame, but it was easy to see after blasting. It still wasn't too bad, but the interior sides had to be replaced and all the floor channels that the floorboards bolt to were eventually replaced. There was other damage in a few underneath areas not seen here. The worst was the frame cross piece that the battery carriers attach to. A section of that was also eventually replaced.

I was actually OK with things, but there was a lot of work.
